This is my husbands favorite burger recipe. It is juicy and full of flavor. It isn't your typical cheeseburger, definitely worth trying.

We love them on Shirley's Homemade buns (in Provo). They are so much better than regular store bought.
Teriyaki Burgers:
1/2 cup soy sauce (we use Aloha Shoyu brand, it's sweeter and less salty)
1 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 minced garlic clove
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 lbs lean ground beef
Extras:
Swiss Cheese
Grilled Pineapple
Lettuce
Tomato
Guacamole
Bacon
Red Onion
1. Combine everything except the meat in a bowl (large enough to fit meat later), let the sugar dissolve.
2. When the sugar has dissolved, add the meat. Combine, being careful not to over mix. Form into patties. I usually make 7 patties out of 2 pounds of meat.
3. Heat grill to about 350-360 degrees. Place patties on the hotter parts of grill. Cook to order!

I love Shirleys rolls, I am excited to try these!
Just be sure that when you add the sauce to the meat not to make it too runny. I usually set some aside and add it back in after combining the meat, to make sure they won't fall apart. The first time I made these, I only used 1 pound of meat (the original recipe calls for 1 pound with the full amount of liquids and it was like soup! But it is just about right on with 2 pounds).
HHHmmmmm....they are yummy!
We made these last night and LOVED them! I actually just broiled them on high in the oven and they didn't fall apart at all. This will be a new favorite!
