Flank Steak (yes, another one!)

I know we had a couple of these already this month, but I still HAD to post ours. It's one of our favorites. I don't eat red meat much, so it was sort of our only option if I wanted to contribute in May!

Note: Flank Steak comes in a 2 pack at Costco. Sort of pricey, but really good! You can eye ball the sizes to an extent while picking them out. I try and find a pack with one large one (for when we have extra adults around) and one smaller one for when it's just us and the kids. They do shrink up a bit while on the grill, so keep that in mind!

Marinade:

1 cup Soy Sauce

1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar

1/4 tsp. Ginger

2 T. Onion Flakes

1 Clove Garlic

1 Bay Leaf

Directions:

  • Marinade for at least 4 hours. Be sure to FLIP the meat half way through to make sure it soaks it on all sides!

  • You can broil this steak, but we have had the best results on the BBQ.

  • Heat your grill all the way hot, then turn is down to medium when you put the steak on and it should cook 7-8 mins on each side.

  • We prefer it cooked medium.

  • Slice at an angle agaisnt the grain and serve.
